Mumbai, March 5
The second semi-final of the T20 World Cup will be played today between India and England. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, while the toss will take place at 6:30 p.m.
This will be the third consecutive semi-final clash between the two teams in the tournament. Earlier, they faced each other in 2022 and 2024, where both teams won one match each. After winning those semi-finals, both sides also went on to win the finals in their respective editions.
India has reached the T20 World Cup semi-finals for the sixth time. The team previously made it to the last four in 2007, 2014, 2016, 2022, and 2024, winning three out of five semi-finals.
England is also playing in the semi-finals for the sixth time. The team had earlier reached this stage in 2010, 2016, 2021, 2022, and 2024, and has won three semi-finals to secure a place in the finals.
