Rajnath Singh Assures No Fuel Shortage, Says India Ready to Handle Any Energy Crisis Amid West Asia Tensions

Thiruvananthapuram, April 2

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said that there is no shortage of fuel or gas in the country and India is fully prepared to tackle any energy crisis arising from the West Asia conflict.

Addressing a Sainik Samman Sammelan in poll-bound Kerala, Singh stated that Indian Navy ships are ensuring the safe passage of the country’s tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.

He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is using his diplomatic skills to safeguard India’s interests in the Gulf region. “We are closely monitoring the situation in West Asia and are prepared to deal with any scenario,” he added.

During his speech, Singh also appealed to voters to elect the BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections, stating that it is the right political party to bring change in the state, backed by “Modiyude Guarantees” (Modi’s guarantees).

He asserted, “His leadership is like 24-carat gold — tested and proven.” The Kerala Assembly elections, comprising 140 seats, are scheduled to be held on April 9.
