Congress Asked to Vacate 24 Akbar Road Office by March 28; Estate Department Issues Notice

New Delhi, March 25

The Congress party has been asked to vacate its office located at 24 Akbar Road by March 28. The Estate Department has issued a notice to the party, giving it three days to clear the premises, sources said. However, the Congress headquarters has already been shifted from there to Indira Bhawan, but the party is reportedly unwilling to vacate the bungalow.

Meanwhile, the Estate Department has also issued another notice for the Indian Youth Congress office located at 5 Raisina Hills Road. According to sources, the Congress is likely to challenge this government action in court. The party has alleged that BJP offices located at 1 Ashoka Road and Pant Marg have not been asked to vacate.
