Chennai (Tamil Nadu), March 25
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday announced its seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Assembly elections. A list of 65 constituencies allocated to its alliance partners across the state was also released.
According to an official release, the AIADMK will contest 169 out of the total 234 seats, while the remaining 65 seats have been allotted to its allies.
As per the release, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest 27 constituencies, including Mylapore, Thalli, Modakurichi, Udhagamandalam, Avadi, Tiruvannamalai, Thanjavur, Coimbatore North, Nagercoil, and Ramanathapuram.
The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) has been allotted 18 seats, including Salem West, Dharmapuri, Vikravandi, Mayiladuthurai, Sholingur, Ambattur, Perambur, and Salem North. The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) will contest 11 constituencies, including Periyakulam, Mannargudi, Thiruvaiyaru, Karaikudi, Saidapet, Poonamallee, and Nanguneri.
The Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) has been allotted 5 seats, namely Oddanchatram, Erode West, Ranipet, Kumbakonam, and Killiyoor.
