Chandigarh, March 24
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will hold a press conference today at his residence in Chandigarh. This will be his first press conference following the arrest of former minister and MLA Laljit Singh Bhullar in connection with the warehouse officer’s suicide case.
During the press conference, the Chief Minister is also expected to share important updates related to the sports sector in Punjab. The Mann government has already announced a historic increase in the sports budget, raising it to ₹1,791 crore.
It is also being reported that Punjab may host the Asian Hockey Championship. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is likely to provide further details on this during the press conference. Notably, Punjab could host the prestigious tournament after a gap of 44 years.
