Ajnala, March 18
The Aam Aadmi Party government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has approved 11 Aam Aadmi Clinics and 2 health centres to provide quality healthcare facilities near the homes of people in the border constituency of Ajnala.
Addressing a press conference at the party office in Ajnala on Tuesday, constituency MLA and Aam Aadmi Party Punjab chief spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that Aam Aadmi Clinics and health centres will be constructed in 13 border villages of the constituency at a cost of Rs 3.85 crore.
He said the project has been launched to ensure better healthcare services close to people’s homes, which will greatly benefit residents, especially those living in rural areas.
Dhaliwal further said that 43 types of free medical tests will be available at the Aam Aadmi Clinics, giving relief to the common people from costly diagnostic tests, while all essential medicines will also be provided free of cost.
He also informed that the government is making special efforts to transform government schools so that children can receive quality education along with improved facilities.
Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal added that the Aam Aadmi Party government is fully committed to bringing reforms in the fields of health and education and is making continuous efforts to provide better services to the people. He said several more development projects will also be introduced in the Ajnala constituency in the coming time.
