Terror Alert Issued Near Red Fort; Security on High Alert Over Possible IED Plot


New Delhi, February 21

An alert has been issued regarding a possible terrorist attack near the Red Fort in Delhi. According to information received from sources, the Pakistan-based militant organization Lashkar-e-Taiba is allegedly planning terrorist activities in the country and may be plotting an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attack.

Sources further indicated that terrorists could target a temple in the Chandni Chowk area near the Red Fort. It is also reported that major temples across the country may be on the radar of the outfit.

Security agencies are said to be on high alert following the intelligence inputs.
