New Delhi, February 21
A day after the Congress party staged protests at the AI Summit, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday held demonstrations in Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Jammu & Kashmir.
Workers of the BJP Yuva Morcha protested outside the Congress office in Delhi, holding posters that read “Congress–Rahul Gandhi – Traitor” and “Traitor Rahul Gandhi must apologise.”
In Mumbai’s Mulund area, BJP workers showed black flags to the convoy of Rahul Gandhi as he was on his way to Bhiwandi, where he was scheduled to appear in court in connection with controversial remarks about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) made during the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign.
In Surat, Gujarat, BJP workers also staged a protest and burned an effigy of the Congress party. Demonstrations were similarly held by BJP workers in Jammu & Kashmir.
On February 20, Indian Youth Congress workers had protested at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi during the AI Summit 2026, opposing the proposed India–US trade deal.
