Fazilka, February 21
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Fazilka today to express deep condolences on the demise of noted industrialist Sandeep Gilhotra, father-in-law of Punjab Cabinet Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Punjab president Aman Arora.
The Chief Minister met the bereaved family, conveyed his sympathies, and prayed for peace for the departed soul. On the occasion, Fazilka MLA Narendra Pal Singh Sawna, Jalalabad MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy, and Balluana MLA Amandeep Goldy Musafir were also present.
Late Sandeep Gilhotra was the father of Karan Gilhotra, Chairman of the Punjab chapter of the PHD Chamber of Commerce. He was a well-known figure in Punjab’s industrial sector and had a distinct identity across political and business circles. He was also actively involved in social and religious activities and contributed significantly to community service.
It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister was earlier scheduled to visit Fazilka on February 15, but the programme was cancelled due to a sudden health issue. Following improvement in his health, he personally visited the family to share their grief. The final prayer ceremony (Antim Ardas) of Sandeep Gilhotra will be held on February 22.
