New Delhi, February 17
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron on his visit to India through a post on social media platform X.
In his message, the Prime Minister wrote, “Welcome to India. India looks forward to your visit and to taking our bilateral relations to new heights. I am confident that our discussions will further strengthen cooperation across various sectors and contribute to global progress. My dear friend Emmanuel Macron, see you in Mumbai and later in Delhi.”
It is noteworthy that President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday for their India visit, which will continue until February 19.
The French President and the First Lady were received at Mumbai airport by Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
