Amritsar, February 17
Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal hosted a Canadian delegation in the holy city of Sri Amritsar Sahib today.
In a post on social media, he expressed happiness at hosting the Canadian delegation led by Members of Parliament Jasraj Singh Hallan and Amanpreet Singh Gill. He also spoke over the phone with Davinder Singh Gill, who could not attend due to health issues.
Sukhbir Singh Badal described the interaction as a truly inspiring discussion about the Panth, Punjab, and Punjabi identity — one that connects hearts across oceans.
He said that the Shiromani Akali Dal stands firmly like a rock with every Punjabi. “Punjabiyat has no borders, and our bonds are eternal,” he stated. He also expressed pride and satisfaction in seeing Punjabis holding distinguished positions across the world.
“Long live Punjabiyat!” he added.
