Members of Akali Dal Waris Punjab De today offered prayers at Akal Takht for the release of Bandi Singhs and to inspire youth to take Amrit. Following the Ardas, the Khalsa Vahir was flagged off amid slogans under the leadership of the Panj Pyare and in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, heading towards Takht Sri Damdama Sahib.
Patron Bapu Tarsem Singh said that the purpose of the Khalsa Vahir is to demand the release of Bandi Singhs, save Punjab’s youth from the menace of drugs, and motivate them to embrace Amrit.
Prominent personalities participating in the Vahir include Chacha Sulakhan Singh, Mata Balwinder Kaur, Sarvjit Singh Khalsa, MLA from Dakha Manpreet Singh Iyali, Bibi Sandeep Kaur, Parmjeet Singh Johal, Shamsher Singh Padhri, Advocate Karnbir Singh, Parmjeet Singh Sidhu (brother of Deep Sidhu), Delhi Committee leader Manjit Singh Bhoma, along with other notable figures and members of the sangat.
The Vahir will conclude tomorrow upon reaching Takht Sri Damdama Sahib.
