Punjab Government Assures Aid to Farmers Affected by Unseasonal Rains and Hailstorms


Sri Muktsar Sahib, April 3

The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is fully committed to providing all possible assistance to farmers affected by the recent unseasonal rains and hailstorms. This was stated by Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian while inspecting crop damage in village Channu in the Lambi constituency of Sri Muktsar Sahib district.

During the visit, he directed officials to conduct a special girdawari (crop damage assessment) without any delay to ensure timely financial assistance to farmers. The minister said that the Punjab government is deeply concerned about the losses suffered by farmers and assured that the assessment process will be completed जल्द so that adequate compensation can be provided.

On the occasion, Tehsildar Rupinder Kaur, Patwari Parminder Singh, Amandeep Amna, Raja Singh Channu, Kiranpal Singh, Jaskaran Singh Jassa, Gurjeet Singh, Dr. Baljinder Singh, and Gursewak Singh were also present.
