Chandigarh, April 1
Senior advocate H. S. Phoolka has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, and Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar welcomed him into the party.
In a statement shared on social media, Jakhar said that Advocate Phoolka, who has fearlessly fought for justice for the Sikh community and is widely respected among Sikhs, has now become a part of the BJP.
He added that the inclusion of a personality of such high character reflects the sincere efforts being made by the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the welfare of Sikhism and the Sikh community. He also stated that such developments are breaking the misconceptions spread by political opponents.
Jakhar extended a heartfelt welcome to Advocate H. S. Phoolka on joining the party.
