Sathiala (Amritsar), March 7
An incident of sacrilege has been reported at Gurdwara Nauvi Patshahi Sahib in Sathiala, where the holy pages of Guru Granth Sahib were allegedly torn and thrown in the street.
Head Granthi Giani Sucha Singh and Giani Buta Singh, along with members of the sangat, stated that nine angs (holy pages) of the Guru Granth Sahib were found torn.
Upon receiving the information, DSP Arun Sharma and SHO Gurvinder Singh Beas reached the spot. The police have begun examining CCTV cameras in the area and legal action is being initiated in the matter.
