Rahul Gandhi Targets Narendra Modi Over LPG Shortage, Says PM Himself “Worried”

New Delhi, March 12

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid concerns over reports of a shortage of LPG, saying that while the Prime Minister is telling people not to panic, he himself appears to be worried.

Gandhi alleged that the Prime Minister is also anxious due to the Epstein files issue and the Adani case in the United States.

He made these remarks when several Opposition Members of Parliament, including him and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, staged a protest in the Parliament complex seeking answers from the government over the shortage of commercial LPG cylinders.

Speaking to reporters after the protest, Gandhi said, “The Prime Minister is saying that there is no need to panic, but he himself is worried for completely different reasons. He is worried because of Epstein, he is worried because of the Adani case, and he cannot come inside the House.”

Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday appealed to people not to panic and assured them that public interests would be protected. He expressed confidence in tackling the LPG crisis, where the reduced supply of commercial LPG has severely affected the country’s hotel sector.

From induction cooktops and microwaves to fuel and solar alternatives, restaurants, street food vendors and catering businesses across the country are searching for substitutes as the shortage of commercial LPG cylinders has begun disrupting kitchens amid the escalating conflict in West Asia.
