Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann flagged off these vehicles at Ladda Kothi in Sangrur district. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav was also present on the occasion.
All these vehicles will be deployed across 28 police districts in the state. The government has already provided new vehicles to all SHOs, while the process of providing vehicles to senior officers is ongoing.
According to the police, all vehicles will be equipped with mobile data terminals and smartphones. They will also feature dash cameras, wireless systems, GPS tracking, and other modern technological facilities. This initiative is expected to benefit the public, as the vehicles will be able to reach people more quickly.
