Ahmedabad, March 31
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum in Gandhinagar on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. The museum showcases the historical and cultural heritage of Jainism.
After visiting the museum, the Prime Minister received blessings from Acharya Padmasagar Sureshwarji.
In his address, the Prime Minister said that on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, he felt fortunate to visit this sacred Jain pilgrimage site. Extending his greetings from Koba Teerth, he conveyed his best wishes to everyone on the festival.
Speaking about the museum, he highlighted that while some rulers in history governed through violence, Samrat Samprati promoted non-violence after ascending the throne. He emphasized the importance of truth, selfless living, and treating governance as a means of service, drawing inspiration from India’s rich past.
After the event, the Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility of Kaynes Semicon in Sanand. He will also lay the foundation stone, inaugurate, and dedicate projects worth over ₹20,000 crore in Vav-Tharad.
