New Delhi, March 11
Today is the third day of the second phase of the Budget Session of Parliament. The Lok Sabha will continue the debate on the no-confidence motion moved by the opposition against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
A total of 10 hours have been allotted for the discussion, out of which nearly seven hours of debate had already taken place on Tuesday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to address the House today.
On Tuesday, the second day of the session, opposition Members of Parliament moved the no-confidence motion against Speaker Om Birla, accusing him of showing bias in the functioning of the House. After more than 50 MPs voted in support of the motion, the presiding officer allowed the motion to be introduced and approved the start of the discussion in the House.
