Chandigarh, March 2
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini presented the State Budget for 2026–27. On the occasion, he said that as the Finance Minister of Haryana, he feels emotional while presenting the budget of the “Non-Stop” Haryana Government. He stated that the government has set a target of making Haryana a 1 trillion US dollar economy by 2047. To achieve this goal, the government has prepared the “Haryana Vision Document 2047.” He added that out of the 217 promises made in the party’s manifesto, 60 have been fulfilled, and work is underway to complete the remaining 120 promises.
The Chief Minister announced that one lakh (100,000) youth will be trained in Artificial Intelligence and subsequently provided employment opportunities. A new power corporation named “Agri DISCOM” will be established in the state to provide tubewell connections to farmers.
Under the ‘Har Nari, Swasth Nari’ scheme, Swasth Nari Clinics will be set up in every district. The newly formed Hansi district will be developed as a modern district. The Chief Minister also announced the opening of 2,000 new Beta Booths, giving priority to women running self-help groups. Women from self-help groups will be given 20% reservation at these booths.
For farmers, he announced the opening of seven new animal dispensaries and four new government veterinary hospitals in the state. A Haryana Veterinary Epidemiology Centre will be established in Hisar at a cost of ₹30 crore.
Chief Minister Nayab Saini further announced that a synthetic athletic track will be constructed in every district of the state. Additionally, a Khelo India Centre will be opened in each district, to be managed by a former champion athlete. Moreover, 21 new sports stadiums will be constructed in Kaithal, Jhajjar, Charkhi Dadri, Gurugram, Kurukshetra, Jind, Rohtak, Faridabad, Yamunanagar, Sonipat, Fatehabad, and Palwal.
