Bharatiya Janata Party Releases Third Candidate List for West Bengal Polls, Sets Stage for Clash with Trinamool Congress



New Delhi, March 25

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its third list of 19 candidates for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, setting the stage for a high-stakes contest against the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) across all 294 constituencies in the state.

Ratna Debnath, mother of the RG Kar Medical College rape and murder victim, has been fielded from the Panihati constituency.

Other candidates include Rathindra Nath Bose from Cooch Behar South, Dinesh Sarkar from Rajganj, Chittaranjit Roy from Islampur, Haripada Barman from Hemtabad, Amlan Bhaduri from English Bazar, Swapan Das from Santipur, Biplab Mondal from Howrah Central, Dipanjan Chakraborty, Dipayan Chakraborty, Dipapurnam Kumar from Chandannagar, Guha, Subir Nag from Chunchura, Madhumita Ghosh from Haripal, Hare Krishna Bera from Tamluk, Sankar Guchait from Medinipur, Pranakrishna Taddar from Purbasthali Dakshin, Krishna Ghosh from Katwa, Krishnakanta Saha from Sainthia, and Anil Singh from Nalhati.
