Senior Congress leader from the Sanour Assembly constituency and Vice President of the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Sangathan, Gurvinder Singh Gaurav Sandhu, was specially honoured by the Auto Rickshaw Union Sanour. On this occasion, the union leaders and members warmly welcomed Gaurav Sandhu by presenting him with a siropa (ceremonial shawl).
During the interaction, representatives of the union held a detailed discussion with Gaurav Sandhu regarding the problems being faced by auto-rickshaw drivers in Sanour town. Union members stated that due to the lack of a proper auto-rickshaw stand in the city, drivers are facing significant difficulties. They also discussed issues related to traffic management and other local concerns.
Listening carefully to the union members, Gurvinder Singh Gaurav Sandhu said that auto-rickshaw drivers are an important part of the city’s transportation system and it is essential to address their problems. He assured them that the issues raised by the drivers would be brought to the notice of the concerned departments and efforts would be made to resolve them at the earliest.
He added that addressing the problems of common people and the working class has always been his priority and he will continue to work for the welfare of the public in the future as well.
Several members of the Auto Rickshaw Union Sanour, respected residents of the area and party workers were also present on the occasion and shared their views during the meeting. Among those present were Satnam Singh, Pawan Kumar, Atinder Singh, Romi, Karnvir Singh and Jeevan Singh, along with several other members of the Auto Rickshaw Union.
