Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, stating that if it fails to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the United States may destroy its power plants.Trump has given Iran a strict 48-hour deadline. In a social media post, he said, “If Iran does not fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, without any threats, the United States will eliminate their various power plants, starting with the largest one. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”Meanwhile, the United States Central Command stated that it is clear in its objective to neutralize Iran’s ability to project power against Americans and its neighboring countries.In its statement, it added that U.S. forces are focused on clear military objectives and are fully prepared to counter any potential actions by Iran.This development is likely to further escalate tensions in the Middle East.
