Chennai, February 26
The eighth Super 8 match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be played today between India national cricket team and Zimbabwe national cricket team. The match will begin at 7:00 PM at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, with the toss scheduled for 6:30 PM.
The contest is a must-win game for both teams, as the losing side will be eliminated from the race for the semi-finals. Both teams had a disappointing start in the Super 8 stage. India suffered a 76-run defeat against South Africa, while Zimbabwe lost to the West Indies by 107 runs.
India and Zimbabwe have faced each other 13 times in T20 internationals so far. India has won 10 matches, while Zimbabwe has secured victory in only three. The two sides last met in the 2022 T20 World Cup, where India won the match on the back of an unbeaten half-century by Suryakumar Yadav.
