Chandigarh, February 25
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains today informed that the state government will approach the Supreme Court of India against the mandatory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) requirement and will file a review petition in the matter.
He stated that the Punjab government has always stood by the interests of teachers and remains committed to safeguarding their rights.
It is noteworthy that several teachers’ unions had expressed dissatisfaction over the compulsory nature of the TET examination.
