Jalandhar, February 25
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Jalandhar on Wednesday. During his visit, he attended the passing out parade held at the Punjab Police Academy (PAP). Chief Minister Mann and Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav received the ceremonial salute at the event.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister spoke about the recent Gurdaspur murder incident, stating that there was an attempt to spread fear within the police force. He alleged that Pakistan was behind the Gurdaspur incident and claimed that the attackers were sponsored from across the border.
He further said that the Punjab Police stands like a strong wall at the border, protecting the state from external threats.
