Chandigarh, January 7 - The Punjab government has extended holidays in all schools across the state till January 13. Schools will now reopen on January 14.
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains shared this information through a tweet. He said the decision has been taken in view of the intensifying cold weather.
According to the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab, S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, and keeping in mind the continuously increasing cold and dense fog in the state, the health and safety of students and staff have been prioritized. Therefore, holidays have been extended till January 13 in all government, aided, recognized, and private schools across Punjab.
All schools in the state will resume normal operations from January 14.
