Sri Muktsar Sahib, April 3
The weather in Sri Muktsar Sahib took a sudden turn early this morning, as dense dark clouds covered the sky followed by rainfall shortly after. This unexpected change has once again raised concerns among farmers.
It is noteworthy that the region has been experiencing लगातार unstable weather for the past several days, with heavy rain and hailstorms causing significant damage. Due to this, standing and ripened wheat crops in the fields have suffered heavy losses, severely affecting the financial condition of farmers. Many crops have fallen to the ground and been destroyed.
With rainfall starting again early today, a sense of fear has gripped farmers, as they worry that if such weather continues for a longer period, the remaining crops may also be damaged. Meanwhile, the weather department has indicated that such conditions may persist, with chances of rainfall at various places.
In this situation, farmers are now looking towards the government and administration for immediate assessment of the damage and compensation, so that they can recover their losses.
