Chandigarh, March 25
Weather conditions in Punjab and Chandigarh are expected to change from this evening. The Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall in some districts adjoining Rajasthan and Haryana. A yellow alert has also been issued for tomorrow, warning of thunderstorms and strong winds.
Over the past 24 hours, the maximum temperature has increased by 0.4 degrees and is now close to normal levels. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 31.5°C in Gurdaspur.
According to the Meteorological Department, a new western disturbance is approaching the mountainous regions and moving forward, which will lead to a change in weather by this evening. During this period, light to moderate rainfall is expected at isolated places in Pathankot, Fazilka, Muktsar, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Moga, Bathinda, and Mansa.
