A three-day Nagar Kirtan titled “Gursikha Iko Pyar” dedicated to the third martyrdom centenary of Shaheed Bhai Tara Singh Wan was ceremonially started today from Akal Takht amid resounding religious slogans. The Nagar Kirtan is being organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and the Dharam Parchar Committee with the cooperation of the Sikh sangat.
The procession began under the leadership of the Panj Pyare and in the sacred presence of Guru Granth Sahib. Among those participating were the Acting Jathedar of Akal Takht, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, SGPC member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal, Bhai Manjit Singh Bhura Kohna, secretary Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, additional secretary Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, and manager of Sri Harmandir Sahib Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, along with several other prominent personalities, SGPC employees, preachers, and a large number of devotees.
