New Delhi, March 9
A large Sikh delegation led by Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi Unit) President Paramjit Singh Sarna visited the Embassy of Iran in New Delhi and expressed condolences over the demise of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Expressing sympathy with the people and leadership of Iran, Sarna said that relations between India and Iran are built on deep historical foundations. He stated that the cultural and economic ties between the two civilizations are more than a thousand years old and have shaped exchanges in trade, scholarship, and spirituality across the region.
