PM Narendra Modi Holds Talks with UAE and Israeli Leaders, Calls for Peace Amid West Asia Tensions




New Delhi, March 2

Amid escalating military tensions in West Asia, the situation in the region is becoming increasingly serious. Iran’s intensified attacks on the United Arab Emirates have raised major concerns about regional security.

In this backdrop, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held separate telephonic conversations with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

During the discussions, Prime Minister Modi enquired about the prevailing situation and expressed India’s solidarity. He later shared details of the conversations on social media, stating that he discussed the regional developments and conveyed India’s concerns. He emphasized that the safety of civilians remains the highest priority and stressed the urgent need to de-escalate tensions and restore peace at the earliest.

In his conversation with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prime Minister Modi strongly condemned the attacks on the UAE and expressed deep condolences for those who lost their lives. He affirmed that India stands firmly with the UAE during this difficult time.

The Prime Minister also thanked the UAE President for ensuring the well-being and safety of the Indian community residing in the UAE.
