New Delhi, March 3
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the post-Budget webinar on the theme “Sustaining and Strengthening Economic Growth” via video conferencing, said that India’s strong economy has become a beacon of hope for the world.
He stated, “Today, India’s robust economy is a source of optimism globally. At a time when global supply chains are being reshaped, rapid economic progress forms a key foundation for a developed India. Our direction is clear. Our intent is clear — make more, produce more, connect more, and now the need is to export more.”
The Prime Minister emphasized that India must make significant investments in research and ensure quality in accordance with global standards. He noted that India has signed Free Trade Agreements with several countries, opening vast new opportunities for growth.
“In such a scenario, it is our responsibility to never compromise on quality. If we have to focus our maximum energy, intellect, strength, and understanding on one thing, it must be quality. The quality of our products should not only meet global standards but exceed them,” he said.
He further stressed the importance of studying the needs of other countries and understanding the expectations of their people. “We must create consumer-friendly products that meet these requirements. Only then can we fully leverage these opportunities. With Free Trade Agreements now in place, the highway to growth is ready for you,” the Prime Minister added.
