Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Expresses Grief Over Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Death, Calls for Peace in West Asia

New Delhi, March 9

Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Monday expressed grief over the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, and called for peace in West Asia. He emphasized that war is not a solution to any problem, but rather a problem in itself.

Former Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi visited the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi and met Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Fathali to convey his heartfelt condolences on Khamenei’s passing. Naqvi reiterated that war cannot resolve conflicts and instead creates more challenges.

The BJP leader said, “Peace is essential for the safety of humanity. I pray that the ‘nectar of peace’ emerges from this ‘ocean of crisis’.”

Naqvi also stated that peace must be restored to ensure the safety of millions of Indians and ordinary people living in Iran and other Gulf countries. He stressed that the sovereignty of every nation must be respected.

Meanwhile, the United States and Israel launched military strikes on Iran on February 28, in which Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who had served as Iran’s Supreme Leader since 1989, was killed. Following the attack, Iran carried out a wave of retaliatory strikes targeting Israeli and American military bases in several Gulf countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

Over the past few days, the conflict has intensified significantly as both sides continue to launch attacks and counter-attacks.
