In the first match of the day at the T20 World Cup, Ireland national cricket team defeated the Oman national cricket team by 96 runs.
After winning the toss, Oman’s captain invited Ireland to bat first. Batting first, Ireland posted a massive total of 235 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, Oman were bowled out for 139 runs in 18 overs, handing Ireland a comprehensive 96-run victory.
