Former DIG H.S. Bhullar, who was arrested by the CBI in a bribery case, has suffered a major setback from the High Court. During a hearing today, the High Court dismissed his bail petition, following which Bhullar will remain lodged in jail.
Although the former DIG had earlier been granted bail by a lower court in a disproportionate assets case, he continues to remain in Chandigarh Jail in connection with the bribery case. Bhullar had sought bail in this matter as well, but the High Court has now rejected his plea.
