Sanaur, 6 January - The political atmosphere in Sanaur heated up recently when a photograph went viral on social media, showing Aam Aadmi Party’s local in-charge Ranjodh Singh Hadana and Shiromani Akali Dal’s chief spokesperson Krishan Singh Sanaur together. As soon as the image surfaced, it sparked discussions in political circles and became a topic of public debate.
Especially with the 2027 Assembly elections in mind, the photograph fueled various speculations. Some viewed it as a potential shift in the local political scenario, while others considered it merely a social interaction.
Speaking on the matter, Shiromani Akali Dal’s chief spokesperson Krishan Singh Sanaur clarified that the photograph had no political significance. He explained that the picture was taken at a residential society in Sanaur, during the Nagar Kirtan held to celebrate Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Prakash Purab. During the event, several personalities were honored with the Saroopa Sahib by the society. He emphasized that it was entirely a social event and should not be interpreted in political terms.
Krishan Singh also mentioned that the condition of Sanaur’s streets was discussed at the event. According to him, the poor state of the streets causes significant daily difficulties for the local residents. This is a community-wide issue, not limited to any single political party, and hence, discussion about it on social platforms is natural.
